Drill Down Server^™: The Technology Behind the Power

deCarta's CNAV Service is built on the proven Drill Down Server (DDS). DDS is the leading LBS software platform, offering unparalleled speed, flexibility and scalability.

This unique architecture allows for a navigation and content delivery system robust enough to support massive real-time data transfers while being extensible and scalable enough to comfortably generate billions of driving directions and routes per month.

DDS has been customized for the CNAV market with special services such as deCarta Corridor Search, Traffic Advisory and other unique capabilities to bring relevance and usability to the CNAV driver. These services connect to the mobile device through a documented API. A Mobile Network Gateway manages wireless connectivity through deCarta's Wireless partner offerings.

Customizable Navigation Software

deCarta provides customized navigation applications built on the NavSDK platform. NavSDK is a software developer's environment that enables easy, efficient development of a customized navigation system for portable navigation devices (PNDs). deCarta can provide turn key navigation solutions with a customized user interface or the SDK for our customers' internal development teams. The navigation software interfaces with the CNAV server through the CNAV API. This fully documented API can also be used with third party navigation software.
